Alpha Day Rehab

Embodying CHD's standard of commitment to each consumer, Alpha Day Rehabilitation Program provides a supportive environment, which welcomes a diverse clientele, celebrating differences including ethnicity, culture, and sexual orientation.

Alpha acts as a liaison between hospitals, residential programs, as well as community training and educational resources. We also act as a facilitator for consumer reentry and stabilization in the metro Boston area post-institutionalization.

Service Impact

Individual planning provides each consumer time with their Alpha counselor to address PSTP goals and follow-up on life skills issues.

Individual computer training increases employability and enhances cognitive abilities.

Life Skills supports self care and work skills, such as ADL, environmental care, health, nutrition, cooking, money management, and time management.

Clerical skills training helps improve concentration and communication skills. Work adjustment /employability skills are improved by practice and consistent feedback.

Attendance and participation skills are essential for any rehabilitation or recovery service, as well as fostering positive work attitudes and symptom management.

Constructive feedback provides valuable support to help address positive perspectives on work, increasing success.
