Public Health Initiatives

CHD has been providing contract services to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) - HIV/AIDS Bureau since 1997 in the areas of:

• MPPG planning meeting administration support,

• Needle Exchange program support and

• HIV/AIDS Program Evaluation services.

CHD collaborated with the Regional Minority Health leadership on the design, development and administration of two regional conferences.

CHD executed a service contract with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Region 1 Women's Health Work Group to provide administrative support and coordinate exchange of pertinent information among the six New England State Women's Health Coordinators.

CHD currently has a service contract with the Region 1 Incarcerated Women's Health Initiative to provide preliminary research and meeting coordination support services.

Specialized Services

• HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health Services Evaluation.

• Development of community directed educational and preventive services.

• Technical Assistance on quality assurance and program monitoring mechanisms.

• Technical Assistance on design and implementation of health information systems.

Future Initiatives

• Developing community-based public health prevention initiatives.

• Initiating and assisting to eliminate health disparities among people of color and low income earners.

• Taking existing health care services to homes of the under-served.
