West Street Residence

This residence is located just a short walking distance from the central downtown area in Leominster and supports individuals, each maintaining separate bedrooms within the residence.

Consumers are given the opportunity to utilize the apartment as a separate, more independent living situation while remaining a part of a more structured program.

Consumers learn and practice independent living skills within the apartment setting while receiving ongoing staff support and residential services.

This residence serves individuals with mental illness to practice everyday life skills, learn to manage their psychiatric symptoms, and work toward integrating back into their community.

Services Offered

Individuals who live within the West Street residence work as a group to maintain all aspects of community living. Independent living skills are practiced on a daily basis with a focus on assisting individuals to learn the skills needed to move into more independent settings.

Treatment plans are designed to address individual issues and needs, independent skill development and practice, as well as community involvement.

Directions to West Street

From Boston: Take Route 2 West to Leominster. Take the exit marked I-190 South to Worcester. At end of ramp, stay straight (do not bear right onto Route 190). Proceed on this road (Mechanic Street) through two sets of stop lights. At the third set of lights (about 2 miles total), you will be in the center of Leominster with Main Street (Route 12) crossing in front of you. Go straight through this intersection - Monument Square (it's actually triangle and will be on your left). At the tip of the triangle, traffic will merge with you from the left. On your left hand side you will see a large church, then the library, followed by a large white house, which is the office of attorney Carl Lanza (there's a wooden sign with his name on it out front). The driveway to our house is just beyond attorney Lanza's house (between his property and a chain link fence). We are set back off the road, behind the attorney's house. 42 West Street is green with yellow trim (pictured above). From Framingham: Basically, get onto route 2 west as best you know how - either from 495 or 128, and follow the directions above.
